LG e-Book Laptop Concept Features Fuel Battery and OLED
LG recently launched e-Book, an ecological laptop concept. This latest gadget uses fuel cell batteries and organic light-emitted diode (OLED) display technology. The batteries of this concept notebook use eco-friendly liquid fuels like natural gas or methanol. What makes it so cool is that the fuel is stored in a transparent cylindrical hinge which means you can literally SEE your batteries’ capacity. Sweet.
Organic light-emitting diodes are ecological and unlike usual LCD, OLED doesn’t need a frame around it, and consumes less electricity. The keypad is also made of a single OLED panel (the keys are displayed). All sounds great so far. However, there is a catch: it’s extremely expensive to build such a laptop with our technology.
There is no info on if and when will production of this notebook start.
